Cyber4Dev launches in Mauritius

Cyber4Dev was officially launched on 7 February 2019 at the Labourdonnais Hotel Port Louis in Mauritius. The launch was organised in co-operation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade. Both the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Seetanah Lutchmeenaraidoo and the Minister for Technology, Communication and Innovation, Mr Yogida Sawmynaden spoke at the event, along with the EU Ambassador to Mauritius Mrs Marjaana Sall and UK High Commissioner Mr Keith Allen.

Mrs Sall said “it is important to tackle growing cyber threats and challenges by increasing resilience of critical infrastructure and by reinforcing close cooperation and coordination among international stakeholders through initiatives such as the development of confidence building, common standards, international cyber exercises, awareness raising, and training”. Cyber4Dev will provide support in these key areas.
